Team GB Activity

Make sure you don’t make a sound if you’re the one acting!

Olympic Sport Charades

Your challenge is to have a charades competition! This activity has a slight twist from ordinary charades, instead, you’ll be given Olympic events to act out.
In your group, pick 4 people to act out the Olympic events.
The first person will look at “Round 1”, the second person “Round 2” and so on
In each round, there will be 3 events to act out.
Only move onto the next event in your round once someone has guessed the correct answer!

Let’s begin!

Round 1

  • Long jump
  • Tennis
  • Basketball

Round 2

  • Shotput
  • Swimming
  • Cycling

Round 3

  • Surfing
  • Volleyball
  • Gymnastics

Round 4

  • Golf
  • Archery
  • Sport climbing

Once you’ve tried these 4 rounds, make up your own!

This activity was suggested by students from Sirius West Academy.

Team GB signpost activity support

See if you can make a routine with these moves in your Olympic dressage activity:

(1) Stand on your left foot and tap the toes on your right foot to the ground.
Then hop onto your right foot and tap your left toe to the ground.
Try this 10 times on each leg. How quickly can you do it?

(2) Try some high knees jogging on the spot.
BUT, try and hold your leg in the air for a second before you hop onto the next foot.

(3) Try some side steps.
BUT, to make it more challenging, try and cross your legs over as you do it.
